The Team
The Founder: George Ackerson
From the Skies of Vietnam to the Frontlines of Wellness
George’s story began as a 19-year-old Warrant Officer, flying Special Ops Scout helicopters in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. He didn’t just operate an aircraft; he flew a team into the heart of conflict. Every mission demanded calm precision, where seconds meant survival, and where leadership was measured not in words but in actions.
George never sought the spotlight, the medals, or the write-ups. He wasn’t chasing heroism to impress anyone. His strength was being part of the team—doing the job, no matter how perilous—while remaining what his brothers-in-arms called “Silent but Deadly.” That quiet, unshakable presence became his signature.
After college, George re-entered the Army as a commissioned officer and returned to aviation, specializing in aviation maintenance around the AH-1 Cobra gunship, and logistics, with two tours in Korea. Upon transitioning to civilian life, he carried that same ethos forward. He didn’t rest on his laurels; he dove headfirst into the business world. Over the next 35 years, he built a deep foundation in the health field—from integrative medicine and new drug development to direct involvement in FDA-approved clinical trials. That hard-earned experience—discipline, foresight, and the ability to maneuver through any challenge—became the bedrock of VST.
But while he could have easily settled into a comfortable retirement, George’s true passion lay in a different kind of mission: challenging the status quo, especially in health and wellness. He’s the kind of person who looks at a problem, seeks a solution, and then asks, “Why is no one doing this?” That mindset led to the development of Prescript-Assist—arguably the most advanced and published probiotic–prebiotic formula based on Mother Nature’s microbes and minerals worldwide.
The Wisdom of a Maverick
George’s philosophy, as he often puts it, is about helping people “become aware.” He rightly points out: “We can all agree that education is the foundation of intelligent decision-making. The caveat, however, is that we are often educated only to the degree that someone else wants us to know. Consequently, how can a buyer beware if they are not first taught to become aware?”
This isn’t just a clever saying—it’s the ethos of VST. It’s about empowering people, especially veterans, with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their well-being.
In short, George Ackerson is a maverick with a mission. He’s a veteran who once saw the world from above and now works tirelessly to help others see their own potential from the ground up. He’s a leader who believes that the greatest service you can provide is giving someone the power to take control of their own life. And for that, we’re all a little better off.

The Chief: Howard Zall
Howard has spent his career building people, organizations, and systems but more than that, he has built a sense of purpose that extends beyond business itself. From pioneering efforts in new industries, to leading teams through complex challenges, every chapter of his professional journey has deepened his belief that true success lies in service to others.
-
Along the way, Howard discovered that his work was never just about sales, compliance, or operations, it was about helping people thrive. Whether guiding businesses to stability, mentoring teams toward growth, or navigating the demands of emerging industries, he found that his greatest satisfaction came when others were lifted higher because of his efforts.
These experiences have not only shaped his skills but have also forged his character. They have prepared him for something larger: to dedicate his energy and expertise to a mission greater than himself. Through Veterans Service Team (VST), Howard has found that mission. As the Chief Operations Officer he works alongside George Ackerson and the VST team to honor and serve those who have worn the uniform of this great country. His pledge is to help deliver solutions that strengthen the physical and mental health of Veterans and their/our four-legged friends, ensuring that whoever gave of themselves are never left behind, human or animal. Sacrifice, for those who have sacrificed.
Howard’s career has built more than a résumé; it has built a soul committed to service. Today, every lesson, every sacrifice, and every achievement stands as preparation for the work he is most proud of serving those who have served.
The Director; W. Chase Cameron
A veteran, an academic, a healthcare executive and a man who seemingly can't sit still, W. Chase Cameron brings a remarkable blend of grit and gusto to the Veterans Service Team. He's a man who has spent his life not just talking about impact, but making it happen—from the battlefield to the boardroom.
-
After about 12 years in leadership roles at hospitals and management agencies, Chase’s journey took a detour where many great stories usually begin: the U.S. Army.As a First Lieutenant and Infantry Platoon Leader, Chase learned leadership under real pressure and earned a handful of D.O.D. awards for his accomplishments. That same dedication and strategic mindset has been applied to his civilian career - one that has included leading operations for private companies and academic institutions. Before joining VST, he recently served as the Chief Operations Officer for a network of nine behavioral health care facilities across five states.
Cameron holds advanced degrees in public health, biomedical sciences, and communications. A true expert in his field, he was an academic research coordinatorat the University of Colorado, where he not only managed clinical trials for large pharmaceutical companies, but also taught "Fundamentals of Communication" and "Interprofessional Education and Development" to future doctors and nurses. - He didn’t “write the book” on interdisciplinary teamwork in the medical field, but he did teach the class!
Beyond the impressive titles, Chase's true passion is his unwavering commitment to service. He's not just a board member; he's an active participant in organizations like Gameday for Heroes and the National Mental Health Corps. In 2024 he worked to open a veteran-focused healthcare facility just a few “klicks” from his Auburn, Alabama, home—a place he shares with his wife and two young boys. Chase Cameron is a doer, a leader, and a family man who proves that you can be all three at once. We’re happy to have him, ready to help him get dialed in and fire for effect.
